Buying tires at Sam's Club

Who owns it
Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT). Sam's Club has been a Walmart division since the first club opened in 1983; the legal entity behind samsclub.com is Sam's West, Inc. The BBB profile gives the business start date as April 1, 1983.
What you can buy there
The tire lineup is short and built around big names: Goodyear, Pirelli, Michelin, BFGoodrich, Bridgestone and Firestone carry the current instant-savings offers, with Cooper, Toyo and Falken listed alongside them. Sizes are passenger and light truck only, and everything is new; there are no used tires and no budget import brands. Anything performance, oversized or unusual has to be bought elsewhere.
Shipping
Sam's Club does not run a mail-order tire business. The online tire search matches tires to the vehicle and then sends the order to a club with a Sam's Garage / Tire & Battery Center, where the tires are paid for and fitted, so there is no home delivery and no shipping charge on the tires themselves. Plus members get free shipping on general merchandise orders over $50; Club members do not.
Installation
Fitting happens in the club's own Tire & Battery Center bays, not at a partner shop. The installation package is priced at $80 for a set of four passenger or light truck tires, that is $20 per tire, and Plus members currently get that package free when they buy a set of four. Buying installation also brings tire repairs, rotation and balancing, and five years of roadside assistance. All of it depends on the club actually having a Sam's Garage / Tire & Battery Center; the offers are valid only at locations that do.
Returns and warranty
Membership carries Sam's Club's 100% satisfaction guarantee, which is the route for merchandise a member is not happy with. Tire-specific return and adjustment terms are handled at the club's Tire & Battery Center rather than published as an online policy, so they have to be confirmed with the club. Treadwear and defect claims run through the tire maker's own limited warranty, administered at the counter.
Where they sit on price
Tire prices are competitive once the instant savings are counted: $100 off a set of four on select Goodyear and Pirelli, $80 off on select Michelin, BFGoodrich, Bridgestone and Firestone, applied at the register. The catch is that membership is required. A Club membership is $60 a year and Plus is $120 a year, with a new-member promotion through September 30, 2026 cutting the first year to $25 and $55. Plus is also the tier that gets the installation package free, which is worth $80 on a set of four.
