Buying tires at Tire Agent
Marketplace, selling tires since 2017, 2,000 partner installers. What tires cost there, what shipping and installation add, how returns work and what customers rate them.
Who owns it
Tire Agent Corp., a private company founded by Jared Kugel, who is still listed as chief executive; the director of operations on record is Steve Graziosa. BBB dates the business to 13 June 2017 and has accredited it since 14 April 2020, with the address 79 Madison Avenue, Floor 8, New York. The site footer reads 'All rights reserved 2026 Tire Agent Corp.' No parent company, private-equity owner or outside investor has been disclosed. Tire Agent does not own the stock it sells: it aggregates inventory from several distributors and has it drop-shipped to the buyer or the installer.
What you can buy there
Tire Agent advertises 'over 70 tire brands' and sells aftermarket wheels next to tires, including staggered fitments and lifted-truck sizes. The brand wall runs from Michelin, Continental and Pirelli down to budget and Chinese lines such as Landsail, Westlake, Nankang, Sailun, Winforce and Arisun. TPMS sensors, lug nuts and protection plans are offered as checkout add-ons; no used tires are sold.
Shipping
Shipping is free and Tire Agent aims to deliver in-stock tires in 2 to 4 business days, using FedEx plus selected last-mile couriers. The free offer covers the continental United States only, and the site states it delivers to residential and commercial addresses 'within the 48 contiguous states', which leaves Alaska and Hawaii out. At checkout the buyer chooses a home address, a shop in the installer network, or a mobile installer who comes to the vehicle.
Installation
Tire Agent runs no bays. It says its network 'includes over 2,000 tire mounting places' and also books mobile installers who travel to the buyer where that is available. Mounting, balancing, valve stems, disposal and TPMS labor are quoted and billed by the receiving shop, not by Tire Agent, which instead sells TPMS sensors as part of the order. Road hazard is not included: the checkout carries third-party protection plans (Allstate and Mulberry plan types appear in the cart) and the tire maker's own road hazard warranty applies where the model has one.
Returns and warranty
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused tires and wheels only; anything mounted on a rim or a vehicle is refused outright. The customer pays return shipping, which Tire Agent puts at $25 to $40 per tire depending on size, unless the return is caused by a Tire Agent error, in which case it covers the shipping and will exchange or refund in full. Requests are reviewed within two business days and refunds are processed 5 to 7 business days after the tires reach the warehouse; manufacturer warranty claims are filed with the maker by Tire Agent but inspected and decided case by case by the manufacturer, and the customer pays to ship the tires back.
Where they sit on price
Tire Agent prices competitively on budget and mid-tier brands, but the payment plans are where the real cost sits: its own disclosures state that ownership through Progressive Leasing 'costs more than the retailer's cash price' and that American First Finance's total lease cost exceeds retail, with an early buyout the only way to avoid most of the markup. Paying by card, PayPal or Affirm (0 to 36 percent APR) avoids the lease premium entirely. Installation is billed separately by the shop, so the checkout figure is not the finished cost.

Where it falls short
- The lease-to-own marketing is the weak spot. 'No credit needed' plans from Snap, Katapult, Progressive Leasing, Acima, Koalafi, Uown, Own.Lease, PayTomorrow and American First Finance are the headline offer, while the fine print concedes that ownership costs more than the cash price; a review on Sitejabber records a buyer told there was no credit check who was then declined, and a Trustpilot reviewer describes a duplicate order that 'was sent/paid for through a lease-to-own company that I only opened up to review'.
- Wrong, duplicated or cancelled orders recur in recent Trustpilot reviews: 'Tire Agent messed up the original order and sent me two different tires that were not what I was expecting', and 'They canceled my whole order after charging me for two sets of tires and one set of wheels'.
- Return shipping of $25 to $40 per tire is on the customer for any change of mind, nothing mounted can be sent back, and a refund lands 5 to 7 business days after the tires arrive at the warehouse rather than on return.
- BBB records 244 complaints closed in the last three years, and reviewers report fitment-tool errors ('their fit guide doesn't do very good for dual rear wheel trucks') and old stock ('They sold me two plus year old tires and their response was this is normal').
